Final Deliverables

The vinyl-cut sticker applications were designed to inform the customer and guests in the shop about who the company is, what they are trying to do, where the profits go and what they are about.

They act as way-showing, before you go into the shop and then informative once you enter the space; providing branding and adding interest to the plain walls. From the feedback and information we received form market research - customers thought the space was small enough to locate exactly what they needed, and items were easy to find. therefore we decided not to have too much signage and way-showing inside the shop iteself.

As a few examples, we created a couple of large symbols with directional arrows to show the apparel shop and the recycling shop from the front entrances. Along with this, there is a brief description about Earthlinks apparel shop for anyone who may not know about it.
We also mocked up our new logo on the outside wall to inform the customers they can park here, and they're in the right place. Lastly, the mission statement is so important to the company, so this could go up on the wall behind the counter. To present the vinyl stickers we built a two-sided wall to demonstrate how the applications would work on the walls and windows.

The vinyl stickers are appropriate for the company, as they are affordable to cut (by us students at Massey, as we have access to the equipment), they are easy to apply to the wall and leave virtually no residue when taken down. We feel this is perfect for the main building that Earthlink Inc rents, so the landlord should have no issues.

These are the front and inside faces of the pamphlets. One is for the potential businesses that can support, one is aimed at informing the customers and visitors about the recycle shop and apparel, and one is targeted at potential clients with their supported employment services.

Our final poster print at A1 on thin 'paste-up' quality paper. This is one of three, but we used it as an example to show the idea. The Image is supposed to portray a snapshot of the company/shop while the clever, humorously light-hearted copy generates interest in the viewer. The views eye is then lead down to the logo in the lower right corner and then to the address of the shop.

Process and Development

Logo iterations and refinement. Avenir Font.

Final logo with two green colours.
The brighter more blue-green was intended to brighten the logo and add a youthful, fresh look to the branding. It is much brighter than the previous colour of the logo, and less brown/yellow.

The poster design was also transferred to the leaflet for the front cover, and there were three leaflets targeted at businesses, customers and clients.
